While I was in London a few months back I stumbled across a vintage shop called Rokit while visiting Camden Market. I was immediately skeptic as a lot of ‘vintage’ shops these days seem to be nothing of the sort but this one seemed legit.
There was a lot of denim and a lot of ugly shirts – however the prices were about 7x more than stores of the same quality in Paris. Why would I spend £25 on a denim shirt when I could get one for €5 ?
Then I stumbled upon this.. a chunky striped jumper. It was summer so at the time I had no reason to get it but I love stripes. I do believe both Tom and I saw the jumper at the same time .. we looked at it then looked at each other and without a single word being spoken it was decided. I was going to buy the jumper.
At only £7 it was a complete steal! You cant even get a jumper from H&M for that price.. especially not one that looks as good as this. Though of course I haven’t gotten much wear out of it since buying it – what with it being summer and all.
The weather in Bournemouth this summer has been crazy good and while I have found myself grabbing a jumper before walking down to the beach, I haven’t had the time to properly style and take photos.
I’ve found myself mostly wearing it during the day, paired with these super cosy shorts I got from H&M whilst watching youtube videos and baking potatoes. A kind of daytime pyjama.
Tom got in one day, after spending a few days listening to me complain about not having the energy to take new photos but still wanting to do blog posts, and decided that we should take some photos right away.
This was the result.
It’s hard wanting to run a mostly fashion based blog when most of the time you don’t have the energy to get dressed – let alone also do hair and makeup and go somewhere to take photos. But i’m lucky in the sense that I have a live-in pal that is also my biggest cheerleader.
